Bio

Sarah Dugger (b. 1974 Dover, Ohio) earned her BFA from Bowling Green State University in 1998. Color and pattern dominate her intricate floral paintings while themes of discovery, veils, interactive treasure and inner thought life vs. outer presentation wind through her interactive fibers pieces. Her most recent shows have been The Hamptons Fine Art Fair, Southampton, NY and Red Dot Miami, Miami, FL in 2024. Dugger’s work was selected for exhibition at the 2023 Ohio Biennial, Riffe Gallery, Columbus, OH; 46th International Art show, Brownsville Museum of Art, Brownsville TX; and 73rd Ohio Annual, Zanesville Museum of Art, Zanesville, OH. She was invited by curators Paula Swett and Meredith Grimsley to the 2023 contemporary fibers group exhibition Soft Associations, Ned Smith Center, Millersburg, PA. The Ohio Art League hosted her first solo show at Gateway to the Arts Gallery within the Columbus International Airport in 2022. She has also been selected for various group exhibitions at ADC Gallery, Cincinnati, OH; Loves Gallery, Southampton, NY; WASH Gallery, Houston TX; Old Courthouse Arts Center, Woodstock IL; Ellington-White Contemporary Gallery, Fayetteville, NC; Spinning Plate Gallery, Pittsburgh, PA; Ann Arbor Art Center, Ann Arbor, MI; Louis Palmer Gallery, Muskingham University, Muskingham, OH. The Ohio Arts Council awarded Sarah a Teaching Residency in 2023 at Dover High School. And, in 2021, Dugger accepted a Visiting Artist invitation (workshop, lecture, guest juror) from fibers professor, Meredith Grimsley, at Bloomsburg University, Bloomsburg, PA. She currently lives and works in Dover, Ohio.
